So, if you really want, you can get to the Char Grilled project page via chargrilled.fatalmelon.com. You could even use cg.fatalmelon.com or any of the other redirects I had set up to point toward chargrilled.fatalmelon.com.

A redirect within a redirect? Careful not to die - you'd be stuck down there for years.

Listening to the podcasts on Writing Excuses has been extremely helpful. The insight they give into the writing process is invaluable, and I feel much more confident and equipped as a writer now.

I am setting myself goals and will be setting aside a block of time every day in which to write. I am just going to blitz through and get the story written. Once I've got it all down on virtual paper I can then start to edit it.

In the past I have tended to get bogged down, trying to make each paragraph the best it can be before writing the next, but I am going to work a lot more sensibly this time, working on it in passes. It's just like drawing or painting: starting off with a rough sketch and refining it from there.

I'm planning on writing blogs here about my writing on a semi-regular basis. I have changed the old menu page at fatalmelon.com to redirect here to the blog, and I will do the same to the old chargrilled.fatalmelon.com site, which I set up back when it was going to be a webcomic, once I've copied everything worth saving across from it.

Also, I'm trying out a new theme for the site. I will be customizing it a bit, but I like this one a lot more as a base to work from than the previous theme. I might edit it to be closer to the previous colour scheme and I will be definitely be re-implementing the randomized header images, although possibly at the top of the sidebar instead of in the header. Any feedback?

I read the papers - one of the perks of being a sales assistant in a newsagents is that I don't need to buy them first - and I often see the way things are run and think "I can do better than that!".

Now, I am aware that this is not necessarily so.  But I figure that perhaps my observations - such as they are - may be useful.

With that in mind, if I think of something, I'll write it up and post it, under the heading up there.  ^^^^^

3am is probably not the best time to be blogging, but after an hour of staring at the ceiling, I decided that there are more interesting things to do than sleep - for now, anyway.

The purpose of this site is to be a sandbox, and possibly also a soapbox. I came up with an idea for a blog some while back.  I came up with the nice, memorable name - a Pratchett reference, no less. And then Richard went "Cool." and built the site.

And then...  well...  not much happened. Sorry about that.

I'm an Ideas guy.  I have hundreds of the things, floating around everywhere, cluttering up the place.  Unfortunately, I'm not much good at doing anything with them. I'm trying to change that now.

So, let's see if we can make something, eh?

Anyway, it all works now, so onwards and upwards to greater things!
